| Soda Pop is coming to refresh Cobourg next week. MuchMusic's SodaPOP 2010 music festival makes a stop on its nation-wide tour at the Park Playhouse on Thursday, June 24. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Headlining the show is Emily Osment. Best known for her role on Hannah Montana, the 18-year-old actress and singer-songwriter has recorded pop hits like I Don't Think About It, If I Didn't Have You and Once Upon a Dream. She is preparing her debut album for release on Wind-Up Records. Also featured on the bill are Jesse Labelle, Alyssa Reid, Danny Fernandes, The New Cities and Wow. The Soda Pop show incorporates large screens, gaming stations and interactive booths as well as a fanfest and autograph session after the show. UNICEF is also a part of the tour, raising awareness for the charities working to reconstruct Haiti. Proceeds from 'souvenir balls', which grant access to the fanfest, will go to UNICEF.
